Order was given to them to stop using definitely propane as gas. Simon Compaore was very strict. One month,drivers have one month to convert they cars to full petrol and to conform strictly to the laws and rules. All those measures are set to avoid an accident.

It was a very tight situation that we found at Sapouy last Thursday afternoon. At one side policemen armed and on the alarm and waiting near the police station of Sapouy. And at the other side an army of Koglweogo,this self defense group mobilized to counter the policemen. All this stricky situation occured when Madi Kanazoe captured by the Koglweogo lost his life from torture. After having sentenced him to death, Koglweogo leaders refused to be heard by the police for the matters of investigation.

When we have been called by the police officer of the district,we went there to listen to him and to what we were reproached for. The officer told us they want to report on what happened and also certified the death of the thief we caught.we agreed and their did their report. After that police gave us an appointment for the day after. But we did not attend it. And we told them why we did not attend this meeting. Just after that the officer of the district brought his men to take us against our will to custody. They were armed,we told them that we are all members of Koglweogo group,and if they want to arrest our leaders they have to jail all of us.said one of the Koglweogo fellow.

Koglweogo is seeing this investigation on the murder of the alleged thief as a plot to arrest and sentence their leaders. For the police officer of the district of Sapouy it is only a procedure of investigation.

Firstly, i felt like a misunderstanding as far as for the leaders of Koglweogo what happened must not be reported by the police and culprits must not be jailed. In a state of right this inconceivable. Law is abiding citizens. Said the police director of the district interviewed by one of our reporter.

After negociations Koglweogo finally accepted to be heard at the police station. The traditional chief of Sapouy is calling the two sides policemen and Koglweogo to peace and dialogue.

This situation shows how dangerous can be a face to face police and self defense groups. Just one spark and everything blows up. Many villagers organised themselves to fight against banditry and many other security threats. If police authorities recognise that it is thank to Koglweogo that 3 former RSP members who perpetrated the attack of Yimdi armory were arrested. However they cannot tolerate  the exactions, tortures and sometimes murders perpetrated on alleged thieves. Authorities must handled carefully this Koglweogo matters. They can be turned into local intelligence corps, helping police in their job in countering banditry and terrorism.

Nebie Moussa in cercle

Rambo is the nickname of  NEBIE one of the officers of the dismantled RSP. he has been arrested in COTE D’IVOIRE and extradited in Burkina Faso. NEBIE MOUSSA is a ranaway since the Coup d’ETAT of September 2015. It is still fresh in our minds that Rambo was one of the former RSP who ran to  Cote d’IVoire after the failure of the coup of Djiendere. NEBIE MOUSSA has taken part to the military coup perpetrated by general Djiendere and he was one of the major pawn of king Djiendere. And those pictures taken during the coup d’Etat shows clearly how deep he is implicated.  His arrestation and extradition is a sign that through cooperation and diplomatic ways problems between COTE D’IVOIRE and BURKINA can be solved. Another former RSP soldier is a ranaway too his name is KOUSSOUBE AKA the TOUAREG. BOTH RAMBO and TOUAREG are the irreducible members of late RSP. The comity in charge of the organisation of the African business Forum Africalia is received a cheque from Taïwan.250.000€ about 164.000.000 of local currency to support the chamber of commerce and industry of Burkina Faso in organizing AFRICALIA 2016. After having met the different authorities of the country world bank has now pinpointed the fields in which its 917.000.000£ of donation will go. World bank wants to build a thermic power station of 50 Megawatts in order to reduce the gap of 140 Megawatts of the national electricity company SONABEL. concerning the company of electricity a proposal of opening the sector to private companies was made.

 

We want to do that with PPP which stands for Public Private Partners which will allow us to have investors in solar energy domains who will produce and sell this energy to the national company of electricity. Says the representative of the World Bank

Concerning agriculture, the amount will be used in multiplying the irrigation ares and funding farmers organisations.

World Bank is also very concerned with health. It will help in affording many medical equipments to hospitals which haven’t yet those suitable equipment necessary for the work.

In this three annual aid,world bank will also invest in constructing roads and infrustructures for universities. An extra budget is also planned for Burkina in order to face urgent expenses.

PHILIP HEUTS former Ambassador of BELGIUM

End of duty for Philip Heut. After having spent 2 years in Burkina Faso, Belgium Ambassador 65 years old is retiring. Authorities grabbed the opportunity to decorate the Ambassador of the land of Walloons and Flemish as officer of the Nation for his actions in Burkina.

The cooperation with belgium is based on 3 domains, we have the straight bilateral cooperation, cooperation through the différent districts in belgium and latestly coopération through NGOes. 22 NGOes from belgium are on Burkina ground. Says ALPHA BARRY, minister in charge of Foreign affairs.

More than 13.800.000€ is given to Burkina Faso to develop many fields as higher education, environment and also to develop culture.

We are not leaving the country forever, we will sometimes comeback to visit our friends and participate to festivals such as Fespaco, Siao we are very interested by handcrafted products,and you have also the Jazz festival. says Philip Heuts former ambassador of Belgium.
